JUSTE DEBOUT IS COMING TO SINGAPORE!

The largest and fiercest street dance battle in South East Asia will be held on the 15th of January 2012.

Meaning “just upright" in French, Juste Debout Singapore 2012 is jointly organized by Dominic Khoo’s 28th Fevrier and Dance Meets and serves as a preliminary contest for Juste Debout 2012, featuring international pre-selections in countries such as Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden and Switzerland to be held in Paris, France.
Having originated from France 11 years ago, Juste Debout is now a huge dance battle event of international repute, with preliminary rounds held in 12 countries.

Come 15th January 2011, dance enthusiasts aged between 8 and 65 years of age, to dance and witness the battle at Singapore’s ultimate dance haven, Zouk Singapore, with regional competitors.
The 2 winners of each category will proudly represent Singapore at the finals in France.

Picture the rules of engagement set on the dance floor, as freestylers pit their skills to fiery battles, inpromtu to live music mixed on-scene by deejays , two dancers at a time in four different categories, regardless of sex, race and age.
A dancer is an athlete- balance, flexibility, endurance and stamina.
A dancer is an artiste - musicality, expression, projection and artistic integrity.
With this in mind, we now continue to push street dance to an international sporting and arts level.

It’s successful debut has garnered the patronage of Law And Foreign Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam and the support of iconic Singaporean artistes in a bid to garner strength in street dance.
This vision was borne by a group of passionate street dancers to the raise the standards of street dancers brought about the premier of Juste Debout Singapore.

Expect intense dance battles as street cred and a trip to France are at stake in this
gathering of street dancers for the largest street dance battle in the region.
